Chim Chim - named so because he was black, from "Itim" (filipino word for black, or dark) ... we called him Itchim, then Chim Chim; could also be a childhood manifestation. My sisters and I grew up watching Mary Poppins, remember: "Chim-chiminey, chim-chiminey, chim chim chiroo" something like that... Van dyke and his friends almost always covered in soot hehehhe.. same thing I guess...
He was the first stray who adopted himslef to us when we moved apartments 5 years ago. He liked the attention, but soon as the cats who came and stayed with us grew he became distant. But lingered around the front yard of our landlord's house. We've seen him go from the young Territorial King to an aged wheezing black ball always napping somewhere.
It was months before moving again that we realized we don't see him anymore... though he was grumpy for the most part, he was quite a beauty too with a crooked tail that looked like a club :)
