Champion: Watch Your Step (University of Cebu Main) - From being just one of the entry in the 1st ever Dance Carnival in 2011 to bagging the grand Champion, Watch Your Step has come a long way. They have proven they are a team of dancers to beat. This is the same team that represented Cebu in the nationwide dance competition SMART JUMP-IN Dance Off, by SMART Telecommunications held in Manila in July of this year, in which they won 3rd Place over all.
We have been waiting for Dance Carnival to be back because we want to compete again, these are the words of Watch Your Step Leader (WYS), Bernard.
WYS failed to make it to the top 4 in the first Dance Carnival in 2011. After 2 years, they are back a lot stronger and with more experience, will and attitude to make it this time. - Dance Carnival

I have to admit, this competition is special for me since it was in this very competition about the same time last year where I met a bunch of amazing dance crews. The experience had opened the doors to a different subculture of dance and competitions, that I would not have been able to immerse in had I not been part of the event. It also paved the way for several opportunities, including writing and covering dance events for blogs such as DanceManila.com :) So I'm truly grateful to have witnessed it all and am looking forward to what this year's competition has to offer - Rafi
